William Pleasents

William Pleasants was found unconscious outside the Engine Shed nightclub, in Ropewalk, Lincoln, at around 1.30am on Saturday October 4, 2008. Police believe he may have been involved in an altercation inside the club before being restrained by door staff outside. He was taken to intensive care at Lincoln County Hospital but later died on Tuesday morning.

Servicemen from this area who have given their lives in active service in Afghanistan include:

Flight Sergeant Gerard Martin BellPrivate Jonathan Kitulagoda, 23, from Clifton, who was killed on 28 January, 2004 in an apparent suicide bomb attack while serving at a military base in Kabul, with the Nato-led International Security Assistance Force.
