HELP!!!!
I have lots of info on my gt Grandfather except exact dates or when / where he was born. I know his rank in the RFA for three different years but cannot find his service records (Common name!) I have his marriage certificate but it doesn't tell me his place of birth because he was in service at the time. I know he died in Jul 1959 in Lister Hospital and was buried in Hitchin Cemetry but cannot find a death record. I am well & Truly stuck. Until I can find where he was born I can't go any further back. Any help / advice would be great. I don't live in the area anymore so it makes research harder.
